MAP: Myoungwallgwan (명월관)

Here's my map of Hongdae park to help you find your way to Myoungwallgwan (명월관).

If the map is too vague for you, simply face the toilet block, walk past the men's entrance, down the stairs and keep going straight. Myoungwallgwan is on your right downstairs in a basement. The sign is in Hangeul, so look for this: 명월관

Party at Myoungwallgwan Hongdae (명월관, 홍대)

Finally we have a venue confirmed!

SHAKE! dance party is going to be held at Myoungwallgwan 명월관 in Hongdae 홍대 on Sat 20th February. The cost is going to be 5,000 won. The drinks are CHEAP! Draft beer is just 3,000 won a pop - and there are going to be some drinks offers too. So it will be a lively night for sure! Get ready to dance your nuts off!

Myeongwolgwan
명월관 is located just behind Hongdae park (about a 1 minute walk). We'll post a map as soon as we have one available.

Watch this space!

SHAKE! Dance Party, Seoul, coming soon!

Jay and myself are starting a dance party. We did have a venue and a date sorted, but for a couple of reasons these have had to change. The main reason being Round Robin is going to be happening on Sat 16th January, and neither of us want to miss that!

We will try and get a venue sorted for perhaps the weekend after, so watch this space...

We will be playing all sorts of music covering many genres with one thing in common: THEY MAKE US WANT TO DANCE RELENTLESSLY UNTIL OUR SOLES BLISTER AND BLEED! We'll be focusing more on older music (psych garage, freakbeat, punk, heavy funk, soul) but we will cover a whole range of other stuff as well. We aim to play a consistent set which transitions from genre to genre seamlessly.

In the meantime, if there is any music that you really want to hear, let us know. Send me your top 10 songs you love to dance to. email: shakeseoul@gmail.com
